What's new

Compared with the current martyspumps.nz.

  • Booking up front"Book a pump" and your phone number are visible straight away, and phones get a Call / Book bar fixed to the bottom of the screen.
  • Smarter booking formSame questions as your current form, laid out more clearly. When a customer enters the pumping distance, it suggests the right pump. Past dates can't be picked.
  • The whole fleet, properly shownA reach chart comparing the 12, 30, 36 and 38 m booms, plus a card with a real photo for every machine, including the Putzmeister and Line Dragons.
  • Your work on showChristchurch Airport, New Brighton Pier and your night pours, using your own photos.
  • No more placeholder pagesThe current Company and Crew pages still show the website builder's sample text ("Add your content here…", "Name here 01"). These are replaced with a proper About section.
  • Works on every screenBuilt and checked for phones, tablets and computers.
  • Looks right when sharedSending the link by text or Messenger shows your name, a description and a photo. The browser tab shows your orange "M" icon.
  • Tidied upFixes the typos on the current site ("MOre info", "to small"), the "Bad respond" form error and the © 2020 date, which now updates itself.

Please check these

A few details we'd like you to confirm or correct before the site goes live.

  • Putzmeister reachYour current site says it can pump "1,000 meters vertically or horizontally". The new site repeats this. Is that right, especially the vertical figure?Fleet section · hero stats
  • "Best for" on each machineEach fleet card says what that pump suits best, such as "High-rise walls, big slabs, long set-backs" for the 38 m. These are our suggestions, so please change anything that doesn't match how you use them.Fleet section
  • Line Dragons descriptionDescribed as being "for hard-to-access, long line jobs, keeping the crew working safely without manual hose hauling". Is that how you'd put it?Fleet section
  • Experience and projects"100+ years combined experience", Christchurch Airport and New Brighton Pier all come from your current site. Are they still accurate? Any other projects you'd like to show off?Hero · Projects · About
  • Services listDriveways and residential, floor slabs and foundations, commercial and industrial, bridges and motorways, dams and tanks, and self-compacting concrete. Anything missing, or anything you'd rather not advertise? What we pump section
  • Meet the crew (optional)If you'd like a team section, send names, roles and a photo of each person. If not, we'll leave it out.New section

What's needed to go live

Once the details above are confirmed.

  1. Where booking requests should goConfirm the email address for new bookings (for example duncan@martyspumps.nz). We'll connect the form so every request lands in that inbox.
  2. Access to martyspumps.nzYour domain is registered with Crazy Domains. We'll need a login, or for you to change one setting, so the address points to the new site. Your email isn't affected.
  3. Final contact detailsConfirm the phone number (021 225 5871), email and address (211 Ryans Road, Christchurch) shown on the site.
  4. LaunchWe remove the green "Preview" bar, let Google list the site, and switch it over. Your current site stays up until the moment the new one goes live.
Until then: the preview isn't listed on Google, and its booking form doesn't send anything. Anyone who tries it is shown your phone number and email instead, so no booking gets lost.
